Twenty-four Nigerian Female Students Freed More Than Seven Days Post Abduction

A group of 24 Nigerian young women who were abducted from the educational institution over a week ago are now free, government officials confirmed.

Armed assailants raided a learning facility situated within local province last month, killing one staff member and abducting 25 students.

Head of state Bola Tinubu commended law enforcement for their "quick action" post-occurrence - despite the fact that the circumstances regarding their liberation had not been clarified.

The continent's largest country has witnessed numerous cases of abductions in recent years - with more than numerous students captured at faith-based academy recently still missing.

Through an announcement, an appointed consultant within the government asserted that every student taken from the school located in the area had been accounted for, stating that this event sparked copycat kidnappings in two other local territories.

Tinubu announced that more personnel are being positioned to "vulnerable areas to stop more cases related to captures".

Through another message using digital platforms, the president stated: "The Air Force is to maintain continuous surveillance throughout isolated territories, aligning missions together with infantry to effectively identify, isolate, disrupt, and eliminate any dangerous presence."

More than 1,500 children have been abducted from Nigerian schools over the past decade, during which two hundred seventy-six students were abducted during the well-known large-scale kidnapping.

Days ago, a minimum of three hundred students and employees were taken from an educational institution, faith-based academy, in Nigeria's Niger state.

Half a hundred individuals taken from the school managed to get away according to the Christian Association - but at least numerous individuals haven't been located.

The primary religious leader in the region has commented that Nigeria's government is performing "no meaningful effort" to save the unaccounted individuals.

The abduction at the school represented the third occurrence to hit Nigeria within seven days, forcing President Bola Tinubu to call off journey global meeting taking place in the southern nation at the weekend to manage the emergency.

UN education envoy the diplomat requested the international community to "do our utmost" to support efforts to bring back the abducted children.

The representative, previous head of government, said: "The duty falls upon us to ensure that Nigerian schools provide protected areas for studying, not spaces where youths could be removed from educational settings for criminal profit."
