Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 victories have been achieved on hardcourt
A comeback the Russian player won his maiden title for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the competition title decider.
The Russian, a former number one, has experienced a difficult period, winning just one win at the major tournaments and experiencing a setback at the American major.
Medvedev's inconsistency on the professional circuit - and struggles with his serving in specific - caused him dropping out of the top ten and finally splitting with long-term trainer Gilles Cervara.
Currently working with his coach and Rohan Goetzke, Medvedev has steadily advanced in the recent weeks - peaking in a tightly fought three-set win over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's maiden championship after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hardcourt after that period of 2023.
Victory also indicates Medvedev has won twenty-one titles at 21 various events.
"It's the first time I have attended a competition with my both daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," stated tennis professional Medvedev.
"This title is in honour of my child her name, because the first title I achieved when my child my daughter was born was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had been defeated in his last six championship matches, featuring in Halle earlier this year.
The player's retrieving approach and frequent emotional displays on court had caused commentators to question if his ability to perform at the top level was over.
Yet the player has implemented adjustments in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform assertively, supported by an improved serving game.
He came back from a deficit in the initial set against the tricky Moutet, taking four of the concluding five points to gain the advantage.
Both players exchanged break points in the following set before the Frenchman, striving for his first tour championship, gained dominance to force a decider.
Moutet saved four early-game chances in a close deciding set before the Russian broke to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, he secured victory with a shot at the net, with Moutet unable to control a return after a lengthy match.
