Assassin's Creed Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Collaboration for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal statement, "A mysterious meeting pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where whispers of forbidden rituals and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the shadows." The plot features a "strangely garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a hidden sect.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar trials and a fearsome foe" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Settings and Transformations
The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Rewards and Extra Material
Players who accomplish the adventure will acquire an unique katana in addition to several items concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
- Titan-inspired outfit for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe

Newest Free Story Addition
This patch also adds the game's newest free story addition, titled "A Puzzlement."
